“Many parents may have a hard time not thinking of the first “Scooby-Doo” when considering whether to take their family to this sequel. Though I did not find anything hugely objectional in the first one, I did feel they pushed the envelope quite a bit in regards to comments, what seemed to be sexual tension, and there were many low-cut outfits worn by Daphne. I can honestly reassure you that this movie is spared much of that!”…

“The first “Scooby-Doo” was a bit of a freak accident - certainly not a good film but shot as a teen comedy and then cut down to a kiddie flick, it still managed to keep the odd adult joke intermixed with a decent family film. The sequel goes for a far more ambitious story about a mysterious individual bringing back all their CG ghostly past enemies”…

“The first Scooby Doo movie was shot at the Gold Coast but this one was done in Canada which I’m sure made it easier for one of the stars to get her regular designer Iced Coffee. This one is actually better than the first one but it’s really just the cartoon come alive with the usual transparent plot and spooky creatures trying to mess up the lives of “those darned kids” in Mystery Inc”…

“As usual, the highlight of the film is watching Lillard’s laryngitis-inducing Shaggy impersonation while he clowns around with the digital dog. It leads to a hilariously realized scene where the cowardly double act disguise themselves in ’70s pimp gear to infiltrate a bar for villains, prompting an Afro-wearing Scooby to take to the dance floor while Big Brovaz sing We Wanna Thank You”…
